I'm sad to see summer slip away
but today found some small compensations for the cold, wet
and reduced light.
Yet to come ..... changing colours, seed pods and frost.

I think summer was a bit of a disappointment this year, I haven't taken anywhere near as many photographs as I did last year. And of course this time last year we were basking in the warmth of our Indian summer, but I am looking forward to Autumn and can't wait for all the leaves to start changing colour.
