This book was sitting on the edge of the shelf in a charity shop this weekend almost as if it had selected itself for me. It celebrates the Silver Jubilee of King George V in 1935.
The inside cover won me straight away.
It's full of great photographs cataloguing news and events from 1910 to 1935.
As you can imagine there's a lot about WW1 and events in Europe
but for now here are two topical articles.
Mrs Lambert Chambers looks so terribly elegant but more suitably dressed for the office perhaps than Wimbledon.
I do like Mr Borotra's style though with his beret pulled on snugly.
The Queen looks cool too.
John Isner - heroic effort but how I hate baseball caps worn like that.

Beautiful endpapers. Too good to hide. Thank you for your visit. Will come back to watch that video. Must dash (sans baseball cap).
