Summer is the time for indigo dyeing - outdoors.
It can be a messy business.
After patiently wrapping, tying, stitching, knotting, folding and pleating....
shoals of fishes dart across the cloth.
It is magical watching the fabric change colour as it meets the air, before your very eyes. How long will it now sit in my trunk before I have the confidence to chop and sew?
