Hidden Microvoids

 Low winter sunlight reflecting off the glazed surface of an old ceramic bowl

 creates patterns on my wall.

These reflections illustrate the crazing in the glaze that isn't visible on the pot without close inspection.



Pretty Things

 Galloping gazelles!

 Indonesian dancer's jewelry catching the sun and casting shadows.

This little ornament in my work room is made up of a wrist cuff and hair decorations. The flowers, leaves and deer are on springs so that, when dancing, they vibrate and add to the delicacy of movement.

My photographs of Indonesia are tucked away in the loft but here's a photo from the net of a dancer in costume.



Soak up the Sun!

Today was the first for weeks that I've been at home without rain. I was able to investigate the garden and discovered plenty has been happening. Whilst it poured on and on I busied myself with other things - chores indoors. I've missed the outdoors but I can see that, for my garden at least, the rain has been beneficial. 

Now we're all greatful for some sunshine - its free!
